William E. Karnatz, Sr. (October 4, 1937-January 1, 2018) is an Emeritus member of the WRTC Board of Directors. 

He was a friend, colleague and mentor. In a 50 year career in the trust business, first as a bank trust officer and then an Executive Vice President and Manager of a large bank trust department, followed by a 20 year career as a trust and estate lawyer, Bill set the gold standard for what it means to be a trust professional. 

He was loved by clients and respected by colleagues for his expertise, but more importantly how he treated people. His professional and personal influence will no doubt be permanently reflected in the Western Reserve culture.
