Mark Swary is a co-founder of Western Reserve Trust Company and has over 45 years of experience in the trusts and estates industry. Mark focuses on strategic planning, client relations, and development and community outreach.
Prior to co-founding WRTC, Mark was a partner at the law firm Hahn Loeser & Parks, and co-chair of the firm’s Estate Planning, Wealth Transfer & Preservation Section. He specialized in estate planning, general corporate, and succession planning areas, as well as the administration of complex estates and trusts.
Mark is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and is an Ohio State Bar Association Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trust, and Probate Law. He is also a charter member, past President, and former member of the Board of Directors of Attorneys for Family-Held Enterprises. He was inducted into the Society of Benchers of Case Western Reserve Law School in 2006. Mark is also a charter member and served as initial President of the Estate Planning Advisory Council of Case Western Reserve University.
He and his wife, Connie, live in Shaker Heights and have four adult children. Mark enjoys hiking, cooking, traveling, and supporting Cleveland sports teams.
